My name is Alpár Főcze. I was born on 3 January 1995 in Gyimesbükk (Ghimeș-Făget). I grew up in a valley surrounded by mountains and forests, in one of the easternmost parts of Transylvania. Currently, I'm living and working in Budapest.
In my art, I primarily present the peasant life and folk culture of the Gyimes Valley, but secondarily, on a pan-European level, I describe the difficulties and challenges of rural life. Unfortunately, traditional rural social structures are disappearing. It is important to address this issue, otherwise, we will lose our local cultural heritage.
